The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra will perform pieces of various genres. The vast artistic heritage of Boris Tchaikovsky  (1925-1996) will be presented by Symphonietta for String Orchestra.

A special memorial note will strike Concerto Ironico by the late Lev Solin (1923-2008) who was an old close friend of Vladimir Fedoseyev and the orchestra. His music addressing all kinds of audience revives the tradition of half-humorous, half-serious character suites.

The orchestra will premiere a new large piece by Vladimir Rubin, a vocal symphonic cycle "Guardian Angel (Twelve Visions of a Terrible Age)". The work is based on poems by O.Mandelstam, B.Brecht, N.Baratashvilli, A.Tvardovsky, A.Tsereteli, A.Blok, V.Nabokov, and canonical liturgical texts. The composer has stated that only music can bring together such various artistic universes. The innermost visions drive the poem's hero to conclude, that "Truth about the terrible age, its events and characters, is only verily unfolded in God".
