Alexander Kozlov
Trumpet

The Orchestra's soloist

He was born in 1976. At the age of 10 he began to study music in the Children's School of Music in Prof. Novikov's class. He continued in his class both in college and in the Moscow State Conservatoire, from which he graduated in 2003. In 1993 he became a laureate of the first prize at the All-Union Contest of Young Performers. Impressed by his performance, a family of organists from England presented Alexander with a new instrument. While he was at the conservatoire he also learned to perform jazz from Odissey Bogusevich.

Since 2002 Alexander Kozlov has become a soloist and a concertmaster of the brass group in the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra. The audiences and the press invariably praises his masterly techniques and unique sound.
