Connection between music and text is a specific commitment of Vladimir Fedoseyev and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra and has been a distinctive feature of the ensemble. By this time, Fedoseyev has already presented, with the help of theatre and film actors, Prokofiev's cantata for chorus and orchestra "Ivan the Terrible" (with Alexei Petrenko), Tchaikovsky's and Pushkin's "Queen of Spades" and "Eugene Onegin" (with Alla Demidova), Rachmaninoff's and Pushkin's "Aleko" (with Eduard Martsevich), Boris Tchaikovsky's and Dostoyevsky's "Juvenile" (with Mikhail Filippov), Grieg's and Ibsen's "Peer Gynt" (with Eugenia Simonova and Mikhail Filippov), as well as Tolstoy's "War and Piece" to Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev (with Mikhail Filippov and Daria Moroz).

In his new project, maestro Fedoseyev addresses the eternal and infinite subject of love. East and West, Middle Ages and modern time, art and life – the chosen plots are diverse and comprehensive. The beautiful and tragic love stories, narrated in music and words, lead to the world of lofty feelings and fates.  Secret aspirations, intimate impulses, angelic purity and desperate remorse, striving and finding, and revelations of eternity - love, love without end. Heroes are separated by family feud or patriotic duty, disastrous jealousy or the germs of unfaithfulness. But the finale always brings a song of the invincible triumphant love.

The cycle opens with the story of Romeo and Juliet in the undying poetry of Shakespeare and music by Bellini, Gounaud, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. More
